A Full Circle Journey to Vermont
Stepping back onto the grounds of the breathtaking Mountain Top Inn in Vermont felt like a surreal, full circle moment. This was my second time traveling to photograph a wedding at this stunning venue. Morgan actually discovered my work through a blog post I wrote for Grace and Tucker’s wedding there back in 2022. She didn’t even realize I was in Florida! I feel so incredibly lucky they chose to fly me out to document their own love story!
Instant Connections and Engagement Laughs
From our very first interactions, I knew this was going to be an unforgettable experience. We all just clicked. When Morgan and Johnny flew down to Jacksonville for their engagement shoot, we instantly bonded. We spent the entire session just laughing, and it was so clear that they are the absolute sweetest couple. That initial spark of friendship set the perfect tone for their wedding journey. Morgan went out of her way to make sure I was included in every single part of their perfect weekend. Being treated like a dear friend is something I will always be profoundly thankful for.
Private Vows and Happy Tears
The wedding day itself was a beautiful emotional rollercoaster, anchored by a few deeply memorable moments. The first emotional moment was when Morgan and her dad had their first look. Her sweet daddy teared up IMMEDIATELY! It was perfect. Morgan and Johnny then shared intimate private vows during their first look, sharing a quiet, personal moment just for the two of them before the massive celebration began. Later, at the reception, the happy tears completely took over during the daddy/daughter dance. As they spun around the floor, a home video played in the background showing Morgan dancing with her dad when she was just a little girl. There was not a single dry eye in the house. It was one of the most touching tributes I have ever witnessed.
Lip-Syncing Superstars and a Packed Dance Floor
Once those tears dried, the party kicked into high gear. That dance floor absolutely never stopped! The energy was purely electric, with guests grabbing invisible microphones and transforming into lip-syncing superstars all night long. Johnny was an absolute dance machine. He literally never left the floor! The celebration reached peak wildness when both Morgan and Johnny got thrown up in the air by their friends. Naturally, I found myself lying flat on my back on the dance floor to capture the perfect, epic angle. I will do absolutely anything for the shot! It was a perfect day for a perfect couple.
