There is something profoundly beautiful about a wedding day that bridges the past and the future. When Jessica and Jasper told me they chose the Marriott Sawgrass for their celebration, it wasn’t just for the stunning views. This venue holds a special place in their family history because Jasper’s parents were married there many years ago. Choosing this location was a beautiful way to pay homage to them and keep their spirits present throughout the day.
Wind, Love, and Epic Portraits
The weather definitely wanted to be a guest at this wedding! It was a crazy windy day, but that didn’t faze Jess or Jasper for a single second. I actually texted Jessica that morning to reassure her: “The wind will help make epic portraits.”
As it turns out, I was right. The movement and energy of the day translated perfectly into their photos. They embraced every gust with a smile, proving that when you’re this much in love, a little weather is just part of the adventure.
A Full Circle Reunion
For me, this day felt like a massive family reunion. I was the wedding photographer for Jessica’s brother years ago, so being invited back to capture another milestone for this family was an absolute blast. It is the greatest compliment a photographer can receive to be welcomed back into a family’s story like that.
A Celebration of Family
Beyond the history and the scenery, the heart of this day was their amazing blended family. Seeing Jess and Jasper’s kids having a total blast together was a highlight for everyone. There was so much genuine love and joy radiating from every corner of the room.
From the meaningful nods to Jasper’s parents to the high-energy celebration on the dance floor, every second was perfection.
