A Stunning Clay Theatre Wedding | Niya & Rylan’s Celebration

Niya and Rylan’s Clay Theatre Wedding was nothing short of perfection. What made this day truly unique was the energy. Since the couple is from out of town and almost the entire guest list flew in to celebrate, the day had a completely different vibe.

You know it is true love when people travel from far and wide just to celebrate your love story.

Because everyone had traveled to be there, the guests were ready to party from the second they arrived. The energy was electric. The dance floor simply never stopped, and the Clay Theatre provided the perfect backdrop for a night that was absolutely LIT. From the romantic ceremony to the wild reception, it was the ultimate celebration of bringing people together.

From High School to Forever

While the party was epic, the history between these two is just as sweet. Their story actually began back in 2009 at a school play. Rylan spotted Niya during intermission, and that moment sparked a friendship that would last for over a decade.

Through years of long-distance friendship and life taking them in different directions, they always stayed connected. They finally reconnected romantically on New Year’s Eve in 2020, and the rest was history. From a move to the middle of nowhere in Arizona to a proposal involving a dolphin (yes, really!), these two have been on quite the adventure.

Shots, Handshakes, and the Perfect Dip

Niya and Rylan made sure to infuse their fun personalities into every single part of the day. Instead of a traditional first look or first touch, they opted for a “First Shot.” They stood back to back without seeing each other and took a shot of Hennessy Pure White that they had been saving specifically for this moment. It was such a vibe and I loved every second of it.

The fun didn’t stop there. Right before their first kiss at the ceremony, they surprised everyone with the cutest secret handshake. It was the perfect nod to their friendship foundation and the guests absolutely loved it. And I have to mention their PERFECT dip. Many know how hard it is, and let me tell you, these two have it perfected. They looked absolutely stunning and I had them dipping EVERYWHERE haha.

A Meta-Approved Match

Now here is the coolest part about how I actually got to be a part of this amazing day.

You know how we all use Instagram as a search engine these days? Well, when Niya and Rylan began planning, they hopped on Instagram to search for a Jacksonville Wedding Photographer. The new Meta AI feature popped up with the ultimate recommendation. It literally told them to “Look no further than Sarah Hedden Photography, voted Best Photographer in Jacksonville for five consecutive years”.
