An Intimate Fernandina Beach Wedding

Sometimes the smallest weddings hold the biggest emotions. Tracy and Marc decided to keep their celebration intimate by renting a beautiful private home right on Fernandina Beach. It was the perfect setting for two families coming together. Tracy’s grown children and grandchildren brought so much life and joy to the day. They proved that love isn’t just about two people but about the community that surrounds them. We managed to coordinate an epic group shot by the pool with every single guest. It was a testament to how tight-knit this group really is.

Tears, Vows, and a Special Officiant

The ceremony itself was incredibly touching. Adding a personal layer to the nuptials, Tracy’s son-in-law, Nick, served as the officiant. It made the moment feel even more grounded in family. When Tracy and Marc exchanged their vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. You could feel the weight of their journey and the gratitude they have for finding one another. After the ceremony, we headed out to the sand to capture some beautiful family pictures and portraits of the bride and groom on the beach.

From Friends to Soulmates

Tracy and Marc’s love story is one of resilience and timing. They first met in AA in Fernandina Beach and knew each other from afar for about two years. Following Tracy’s divorce in late 2020, Marc became a pillar of support. He recognized through her sharing in meetings that she simply needed a friend. That friendship was built on a foundation of deep trust and eventually blossomed into romance. Today they are best friends who mean everything to each other. Their relationship is firmly rooted in faith, sobriety, and recovery.

The “Money Shot”: Just Married on a Harley

While the ceremony was sweet, the exit was bad to the bone 💀. Tracy and Marc are huge Harley Davidson enthusiasts, so naturally the bike had to be part of the big day. The kids surprised them by decorating the bike with a “Just Married” flag. They also attached a wedding veil to Tracy’s helmet, which was my personal favorite detail. It was adorable. We took some time for portraits with the bike, but the highlight was the “money shot” of the two of them zooming past me. They were all smiles with the veil flying in the wind. It was pure joy in motion.

Celebrating Down Under

After the adrenaline of the ride, the couple rode their Harley over to Down Under. It is a fantastic restaurant located right on the marsh in Fernandina. There they were joined by the rest of their family and an extended circle of friends to celebrate the night away. Good food, marsh views, and great company made for the perfect ending to a perfect day. Congratulations, Tracy and Marc! Here’s to many more miles together.
