It was the kind of love that fills a room — and I was so honored to capture every second.

After the ceremony, we kicked off Jessica and Matt’s downtown wedding portraits at one of my favorite spots — the Florida Theatre. The amazing staff there actually turned on the marquee lights just for us, giving their photos that romantic, cinematic glow you only get from a true Jacksonville gem. ✨
But let me tell you — the sun was relentless that day. It was the middle of the afternoon, and we were facing that classic Florida heat and harsh light. I had to think fast to keep everyone cool and the portraits beautiful.
So, I pulled out one of my secret weapons: the Jacksonville Main Library. Not only did it offer shelter from the sun and glorious air conditioning, but the grand staircase inside was absolutely perfect for timeless, elegant portraits. It’s one of the best-kept indoor photo spots in the city, and it gave us some of the most iconic images of the day.
We continued around downtown Jacksonville, hitting a few more scenic corners to round out their gallery. Jessica and Matt were effortless in front of the camera — so in love, so in sync, and just a joy to photograph.

Jessica used to live in the apartment complex where Matt worked — and yep, he was the maintenance man. So naturally, she did what any woman on a mission would do: she submitted a fake maintenance request just to get him to come over.
And honestly… it sounds almost like the start of an X-rated movie, right? But instead of steamy background music, what followed was a real conversation, a genuine spark, and eventually — a real date. That cheeky little move turned into a love story that led all the way to “I do.”
