The Perfectly Imperfect Wedding of Meli & Chandler

Some love stories are destined to be a little more unique, a little more adventurous, and Chandler and Meli’s journey to their wedding day is just that! I had the incredible honor of capturing their big day—a celebration full of love, laughter, and more than a few unexpected twists.

Their Story

Meli and Chandler first met when Chandler, who was running a chain of smoke shops in Jacksonville, hired Meli while she was still in college. He admits he hired her because he thought she was cute. It’s these small moments that remind you how fate can have a sense of humor.

The Perfectly Imperfect Wedding Week

Now, we all know that even the best-laid wedding plans sometimes take a wild detour. Just four days before the big day, Meli and Chandler received the news that their original venue had overbooked! As you can imagine, panic ensued. But in true Meli and Chandler fashion, they rolled with the punches. They found Palm Valley Barn in Ponte Vedra at the last minute, and let me tell you—it was a hidden gem!

The barn, with its rustic charm and sprawling property, turned out to be the perfect backdrop for their intimate wedding. Surrounded by close family and friends, the couple said “I do” amidst the golden light filtering through the barn doors. It was the kind of setting that felt right out of a movie—serene, elegant, and totally them.

Celebrating With Love and Laughter

What stood out most about their wedding was the sheer joy that filled the air. You could see how loved Meli and Chandler are by the people around them, and that love filled every corner of the venue. Their closest family and friends were there to celebrate this beautiful couple, and it felt like a true celebration of not only their love but their adventurous spirits.

From heartwarming toasts to infectious laughter, their day was full of the kind of moments I live for as a photographer. Every glance, every laugh, and every tear felt meaningful. Chandler and Meli shared private, stolen moments before their ceremony with a first look, and those quiet moments were some of my favorite to capture.

As if one wedding wasn’t enough of an adventure, this incredible duo will soon be saying “I do” once more in Thailand! They’re heading off for another ceremony, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Thailand’s landscapes, and honestly, I did tell them they sure needed me to come document that wedding too.
