Jennifer and Tre’s love story didn’t begin at Villa’s by the Sea Jekyll Island. It began in 1998 when they got engaged and started planning their dream wedding. However, the Navy had other plans for Tre, and their wedding plans had to be canceled. They decided to get married on Jax Beach by a notary instead and hoped for a future wedding celebration. Unfortunately, life had other plans for them, and they had to postpone their plans for a vow renewal ceremony several times.

Jennifer gave up on the idea of having a celebration until Tre suggested celebrating their 25th anniversary. Jennifer ran with the idea and decided to have their vow renewal ceremony at Villas by the Sea Jekyll Island. They wanted to celebrate their milestone with their friends and family. That’s when she found out about me from one of my amazing clients and her friend, Colleen. Thanks Colleen!!

Jekyll Island has many amazing spots for gorgeous pictures. But Jennifer wanted to go to Driftwood Beach for their formal portraits, which is typically done after the ceremony and family pictures. However, because there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, I told her that it would be too sunny during the slotted portrait time, and that if she trusted me, we could go during dinner when the sky would be perfect for photographs. Jennifer trusted me, and we snuck away for 30 minutes during sunset, which resulted in fantastic photos with beautiful skies. Plus, they were able to spend time with all the friends and family that traveled in for their celebration during cocktail hour.

Jennifer and Tre’s Villas by the Sea Jekyll Island Vow Renewal was a beautiful celebration of love, family, and memories. It shows that no matter how many times life throws curveballs, true love will always prevail.

Jennifer and Tre, thank you for choosing me as your Jekyll Island Vow Renewal photographer! It was a perfect day to celebrate 25 years! So, here’s to 25 more!
