Happy new year, everyone! I can’t believe we’re already into 2023! Katharine and Chris’ Tucker’s Farmhouse wedding was the perfect last wedding of 2022: A beautiful setting, a super sweet couple (and daughter!), and tons of love and laughter.
The Happy Couple
Katharine and Chris met in 2017 and, in Katharine’s words, “We instantly knew that we were in for something special.” She told me they never stopped laughing when they were together and it wasn’t long before they realized they’d found something in each other that they’d never shared with anyone else. Their relationship deepened and in 2019 they welcomed their daughter, Rosalie, into their lives. She is such a cutie and an absolute joy to her parents and grandparents!
Then, last fall (their favorite season) Chris planned a special trip to Columbus, Ohio (where he graduated college). Unbeknownst to Katharine, this trip would be special in more ways than one! Chris had planned a secret proposal (which some of his friends and Katharine’s mom were in on) and at Mirror Lake he popped the question. Of course, she said yes!
Tucker’s Farmhouse Wedding
Tucker’s Farmhouse is an awesome wedding venue! The property is just gorgeous and it created a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony, reception, and portraits. Everyone was able to get ready on site which makes the pre-wedding pictures a breeze! . The weather was perfect too, just an AMAZING day!
And the weather wasn’t the only thing that was perfect! Katharine had a ton of photo ideas she’d found on Pinterest for bride and daughter photos that she wanted to recreate with her own daughter, Rosalie. I had warned her that the chances of getting the pictures exactly the way she wanted were slim to nil since there’s just so much happening on a wedding day, plus…kids will be kids, lol, and sometimes they just don’t feel like cooperating with portraits! But what do you know, Rosalie was amazing and did everything her mom asked–and we got tons of great photos that were exactly what Katharine had envisioned! Yes, I think we were all surprised!
The ceremony was perfect and it even highlighted Katharine’s talented nieces singing. Afterward, we meandered around the beautiful grounds for their portraits. Sunset was STUNNING!
We wrapped up the day with a reception–which was poppin’! The dance floor was so much fun, and everybody was getting down–including the grandparents (and me ha!)! I can’t think of a better way to end the year than with a new beginning like a wedding! Thank you, Katharine and Chris, for allowing me to document this exciting new chapter in your life together!
