Paige and Cullen’s Sugar Pointe Estate wedding was so beautiful! This was my first time shooting here and I loved the gorgeous, woodsy grounds. This property really provided the perfect natural backdrop for Paige and Cullen’s amazing day!
The Perfect Wedding Photographer
Special shout out to the bride’s mom, Nancy, for helping this couple find their dream wedding photographer! (Hint: that would be me!) Paige got super busy (I can’t imagine with what, haha) and asked her mom to take over the search for a photographer. Nancy found me and I set up a Facetime call with the bride and groom. We could tell immediately that we were the perfect fit! As soon as Paige got off the call with me she called her mom and said, “I have to have Sarah!”
First Look
Paige and Cullen decided to do a first look, and I’m so glad they did! We had plenty of time to shoot portraits prior to the ceremony, so it was really laid back and relaxed. And the old home on the property was the perfect place to get ready in.
Ceremonies and…Cell Phones?
Paige and Cullen’s Sugar Pointe Estate wedding went off without a hitch…almost! The only snafu was when Cullen was walking down the aisle and I noticed he had his cell phone in his pocket. HUGE no-no for me! I went all bug-eyed on him and demanded that he hand it over. You should have seen the color go out of his face, lol! He didn’t even realize it was in his pocket. Of course everyone laughed. But no worries, Cullen, I got you! Not gonna let these gorgeous photos be marred by a bulgy pocket full of cell phone!
Once the phone was confiscated, we were back in business. The ceremony was beautiful, with lots of tears and laughter (and two of the cutest flower girls ever!) We did some more portraits after the ceremony–because there’s no such thing as too many wedding pictures! Being on the water we had some stunning scenery at sunset! Those gorgeous puffy clouds eventually brought torrential rain…but not before the party in the barn was hopping! It would take more than a little rain to put a damper on the beginning of this couple’s new life together!
When I say the dance floor was hoppin!!!! I mean…. I think everyone was dancing. It was a blast.
