It doesn’t get much prettier than Adrienne and David’s Lightner Museum wedding! I first met this couple during their engagement session on Jekyll Island. We had a total blast..no seriously.. and I couldn’t wait for their big day to kick off my 2022 weddings!

David is a Marine (as you’ll see from the pics) and the two of us have really similar personalities. We hit it right off! But both Adrienne and I admitted that we weren’t totally sure our personalities meshed. We both named each other “Maybe” in our phones! I still have her in my contacts as “Adrienne Maybe Lightner bride” and I’m in hers as “Maybe Sarah.” But we were 10 minutes into their engagement session and I was like, “I like love you dude”…..HA!

Okay, but the wedding itself: So perfect!

Since the sun sets really early in January we decided to do a first look. That way we could get all their portraits done before the ceremony while we still had plenty of light. For those couples thinking that a first look will ruin their moment at the altar–uh, no. David can tell you that you just get to experience all the magic twice! He was all smiles during the first look but cried like a baby when he saw her walking down the aisle at the ceremony. So, take his word for it (and mine)! A first look is totally worth it!

After Adrienne and David’s Lightner Museum wedding ceremony we got a few shots outside. It was dark by that time, but the Night of Lights in St. Augustine display was still up in the park, so we took advantage of the backdrop for some gorgeous pictures!

After that? Time for dancing and partying! The bride and groom started things off by surprising their guests with a gorgeous waltz to “Fly Me to the Moon.” It was the stuff of fairy tales! I don’t think mine was the only jaw that dropped!

Once the rest of the wedding party started to hit the dance floor the party never stopped! It was so hard for everyone to end the night–I think we would all still be out there dancing to this day if we could! There was so much love between everybody and they were just having a great time connecting and celebrating together!

All the best wishes to both of you, David and “Definitely” Adrienne! 😉 I Love you guys and am so thankful I was chosen to capture all the magic, fun, and excitement of your Lightner Museum wedding! As good as a flight to the moon and better!
