All I can say is Suzanne and Taylor’s Ritz Carlton Amelia Island wedding was simply stunning.
Suzie and Taylor met at a business conference in Vegas and it was love at first sight! Okay…maybe not quite. Suzie was quicker on the uptake than Taylor. (Typical, right girls?) She knew immediately that she wanted to get to know this guy, but her first attempt to introduce herself was met with a brushoff. It wasn’t until he saw her play golf that Taylor started paying attention–and that did it! Over the next year and half they got to know each other better and Taylor proposed on a California beach. So, as Suzie and Taylor learned, what happens in Vegas doesn’t necessarily stay in Vegas! ha!
Their Ritz Carlton Amelia Island wedding was a Florida destination wedding in every sense of the word, with tons of sandy beaches, absolutely gorgeous ocean views, and palm trees to complete the ensemble. It was also a destination wedding in the sense that everyone traveled to it from out of town–which created its own set of adventures! A few of the groomsmen ran into trouble when their flights were cancelled the DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING, but they didn’t let it deter them. They just piled into a rental car and drove through the night all the way from Pennsylvania. Talk about dedication!
The weather was absolutely gorgeous for their Ritz Carlton Amelia Island wedding. I warned them the night before that I would want to pull them back to the beach during their reception during sunset to get pics. (Always listen to your wedding photographer–You’ll be glad you did!) We made it just in time to catch the last light of the day–my favorite time for sunset beach pictures. Suzie and Taylor, I’d say it was worth it, right??
And then it was time for the party–and believe me, their wedding guests knew how to do it! It was a blast and they were going strong for hours. They basically had to be kicked off the dance floor at the end of the night. I guess that’s what happens when everyone has to just go up to their hotel room instead of going home!
Oh, and I have to mention one of the most important guests. Stanley, their dog, was an angel and did his job perfectly during the ceremony and pictures. Too cute!
Suzie and Taylor, thank you for choosing met to document your amazing Ritz Carlton Amelia Island wedding. I wish you a lifetime of love and laughter.
