I have been looking forward to photographing Sierra and Steven’s Plantation Oaks Farms wedding for WAY too long! This gorgeous couple originally planned their wedding for May 15th of last year, but obviously, COVID had other plans. Even though they couldn’t gather with lots of family and friends, they got married anyway and got started on a family right away. Fun Fact — They’ve been in love since middle school. As a matter of fact, they met on the school bus! Steven was crushing really hard–can you blame the guy?–and decided to approach her with a joke. It must have been good, because the two of them have been inseparable ever since, and they wanted to make it official!
Over the past year, I’ve been able to document their daughter Maisyn’s milestones and just fell in love with the three of them. That sweet angel is the happiest baby! And they know they’re stuck with me for life now ๐ , When restrictions finally lifted and they were able to have their formal wedding ceremony and have the celebration they’d always wanted, IT WAS PERFECT!
I’ve gotta say, the ceremony was worth the wait! The Plantation Oaks grounds are absolutely beautiful. The towering oaks were the perfect backdrop and allowed just the right amount of light–a wedding photographer’s dream. Plus the weather was perfect: Mid-70s, with a light breeze and clear blue skies. It couldn’t have been better if they’d ordered it!
Such a beautiful experience to finally capture their special day. I Loved seeing Maisyn again and meeting some of the people who are near and dear to Sierra and Steven’s hearts at their long-awaited Plantation Oaks Farms wedding. The reception afterward was poppin’ and I loved every minute of it! Especially the dance off between the groomsmen and bridesmaids. Let’s just say the guys went a little crazy! It was awesome and I loved it!
I’m so lucky that these two chose me to not only document their Plantation Oaks Farms wedding, but also their adorable family! It’s been quite a year, but together we’ve created some amazing memories. Can’t wait to capture even more!
