Lindsey and Daniel’s backyard wedding in Savannah was absolutely magical! I actually met this couple at the wedding of Lindsey’s sister, Brooke. After just five minutes, I basically forced them to choose me to document their backyard wedding. HA!

The wedding venue is one of the many big decisions a couple has to make when planning all the details of the big day. These two decided to get married in their own backyard, right outside their completely restored (and jaw-droppingly gorgeous) historic home in Savannah. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

Even though this was a backyard wedding in Savannah, we decided to take a party bus (and you know we partied) to Forsyth Park to do their first look and portraits. (Totally appropriate, since they met at a coffee shop there for the first date after a tender swipe right connection!) Anyway, the locale was perfect. The park has amazing oak trees in Spanish moss that made a gorgeous setting for our photos. Then, back to the backyard!

Lindsey and Daniel are both musicians and have the most amazing, fun, and eclectic group of friends! Together, they all put on a great show (including a fire starter at the end who lit everyone’s sparklers)! Between the live band and performer friends, the day was filled to the brim with celebration, music, and love. So beautiful! The yard was perfectly set up to handle the close to 150 people who came, plus the stage for the band and all the great musical performances. I loved every one of them, but the highlight for me was definitely the performance by the couple themselves. Instead of a first dance, the bride and groom decided to sing a song together. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen something so special and personal. It was perfect!

Lindsey and Daniel, thank you for choosing me to capture every moment of your perfect backyard wedding in Savannah. I wish you a lifetime of love, laughter happiness and MUSIC!
