I’ve actually known Carissa since the day she was born. Her mom was my friend in high school and it’s been wonderful watching her grow up into a beautiful young woman and eventually finding the person who made her heart happy. Carissa and Eric have the cutest boy-meets-girl story so it must be shared! The lovebirds met at Publix where they both worked. They were initially friends even though Carissa had a crush on Eric – but he felt that as coworkers they should keep the relationship professional. Thankfully, he quickly came to his senses and they’ve been together ever since!
The bride and groom were originally planning a big wedding back home in Springhill but decided that due to COVID they should have an elopement in St Augustine with just their closest family and friends.
There are so many things to love about micro weddings. It gives couples the freedom to decide every aspect of their day in a way that timelines just can’t allow with larger weddings. They can be magical, and grand with all the best parts of a wedding day without asking a bride and groom to sacrifice a single, intimate moment between the two of them.
One of the best things about elopements is that it gives us so much time for photos. We began with a first look where Eric had the best reaction. (Future grooms: take note). From there we toured St. Augustine before their elopement at the Lightner Museum. The Lightner is one of my favorite venues for micro weddings as the courtyard is beautiful and intimate. A little hidden oasis in the busiest part of St. Augustine. After the ceremony, we went to one of my favorite places for EPIC sunset photos – Castillo de San Marcos. I swear, it never lets me down and that day was no exception with stunning skies.
Carissa, I’m so proud of you! Eric is the cutest and he absolutely adores you. Thank you for trusting me to document your perfect day!
