September 7th was a beautiful day for a wedding at the Lodge and Club Ponte Vedra. The skies were blue and the beach was adorned by the most perfect archway as Sierra and Chris were married in front of their family and friends. If there was one thing that was evident from the day, it was how beautifully Sierra’s vision came together. She really did a phenomenal job on every detail in designing her wedding day. Her dress was stunning and her bridesmaids were perfectly coordinated in shades of purple. Floral arrangments could be found adorning every service and perfectly coordinated with her color scheme.
I especially LOVED the tablescape of their community table and each centerpiece on the round tables was perfect. Florals even adorned the beautiful cake. If you want to make your photographer happy, use tons of florals. It really sets the tone for your decor too.
Another choice that makes photographers really happy is choosing to have a first look! Sierra and Chris opted to do a first look which gave them more flexibility in their photos for the day. It also allows a bride and groom more time with their guests! They were so sweet finally seeing each other and the wedding party made sure to hoot and holler at how cute they were!!
In addition to all the little details, Sierra and Chris also had a choreographed first dance which they nailed – of course! I wouldn’t expect anything less. Even their band, Who Rescued Who, was one of the best bands I’ve ever seen at a wedding.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the groom’s cake too. It was a sandcastle cake! I DIED! I could not believe how real it looked! It was by far one of the best grooms cakes I’ve ever seen!
Everyone partied and danced. As a matter of fact, Sierra and Chris NEVER left the dance floor! The happy couple brought their night to a close with a gorgeous sparkler exit! Sierra and Chris, thank you for choosing me to document your wedding at the Lodge and Club Ponte Vedra.
