Ana and Gent are the sweetest couple who come from very traditional Albanian families. While they actually met through mutual friends they did wind up getting engaged in Albania. But they both had their heart set on a wedding at Treasury on the Plaza, a gorgeous venue in downtown St. Augustine. Many of their family and friends came from across the world to join them on their wedding day.

The day started out a little gray and drizzly. As it sometimes happens on the wedding day, things were running a bit behind.  But, it really couldn’t have worked out better because we completely missed the rain that was coming just in time for gorgeous portraits after the wedding ceremony!  Ana and her mom were so in love with my epic veil toss photos that they actually ordered a special veil from Amazon just to wear during portraits! After hearing that, how could I disappoint?! Obviously, we had to get the best veil photos and Fort Castillo NEVER lets me down with its stunning views. Even the sky cooperated at sunset, it couldn’t have been any prettier.

Once we were back at the reception, Ana and Gent’s family and friends came to party. It didn’t take long at all before the dance floor was packed with traditional Albanian wedding dances and ceremonies. I mean they even lit a napkin on fire!!  The dance floor didn’t let up all night long and it just got crazier in the best possible way. Those Albanians know how to dance and they know how to party!
