Hayley and Cody were married at one of Jacksonville Beaches prettiest venues. Their One Ocean Resort Wedding took place on a gorgeous Saturday in March on the patio of One Ocean. Let me tell you how much I love this patio for spring and summer weddings. It pretty much guarantees gorgeous even light and there are plenty of places for guests to lounge during cocktail hour. Plus you can not beat being just steps from the beach.
Hayley and Cody may have got married in Florida but they’re southern Alabamians through and through. They met as college students during their time at Auburn but their relationship really solidified a few weeks after they met when they both flew to the national championship game in California. It was at that point that they kinda knew they were in it for the long haul. One major move and a few years later, here they were surrounded by so many family and friends as they said their vows.
Everything about Hayley and Cody’s day was just precious. You could tell how close they were to each member of their wedding party. They had the type of wedding party where friendships ran deep. It was never more apparent than during one moment at the reception when “Drive” by Alan Jackson came on and their entire crew gathered around them to sing it loud and proud. It was so sweet, the groom requested the song play twice!
Every couple has different priorities on their wedding day. For Hayley and Cody, their only priority was to have an amazing time with their guest. They wanted to spend as much time with them as possible throughout the day but also needed beautiful portraits of the two of them to look back on. We worked together to do a first look so the majority of their portraits could be done before the wedding. Then I stole them away for about 20 minutes to get all the portraits on the beach at sunset and it was SO worth it. Their photos turned out beautiful and I’m so glad they chose me as their photographer!
