Delaney and Allison’s Wedding at the Jacksonville Public Library on the first day of December. My last wedding of 2018 and honestly, probably one of my favorites because of the sheer amount of love that was present. Before we can get to the wedding, you have to know the story of how these two high school sweethearts met. Delaney and Allison grew up in the same small Florida town, where they were a few years apart in school. It wasn’t until Allison coached Delaney’s softball team that they started dating. They survived high school and long distance throughout college before they were finally able to settle down together in Jacksonville and get married nearly a decade after they started dating!

Their wedding day started out warm but with a persistent drizzling rain that threatened to ruin the wedding photos we had planned. But, right as we were finishing up hair and makeup the skies cleared up and I stole the brides away for a first look at the riverfront. It was the BEST decision. I freaking love the drama the stormy skies added to their wedding portraits. These two nailed it. Of course Delaney lost it as soon as she saw Allison. I think we all got choked up! Allison giggled because she knew Delaney would be emotional! Their first look and portraits were EPIC!!!

As they were married in front of the steps at Jacksonville Public Library, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. You could tell that these two families were already intertwined and there wasn’t a single person who wasn’t happy to be there sharing in their love. It was obvious the entire night through but the moment that got me the most was when Delaney’s dad sang to her and teared up during their Father/Daughter dance. Heart. Melted.
