When I met Aimee and James for their engagement session back in January, she let me in on a little secret. The bride and groom hoped to be pregnant by the time of their November wedding at Washington Oaks. So imagine how thrilled I was to arrive at The Carriage House to see her gorgeous baby bump in the most stunning dress. Seriously, it could not have been more perfect for this mama to be and she was glowing!

James and Aimee’s wedding at Washington Oaks took place on a beautiful Sunday in front of their family and friends. Their ceremony was officiated by a mutual friend who knew the bride and grooms entire love story and she created the most personal ceremony I’ve ever witnessed. I love when weddings are officiated by someone close to the bride and groom because it’s so much more personal. She had the bride and groom smiling throughout their ceremony. If you didn’t know, Aimee and James ran in the same circle of friends for a long time. In fact, Aimee admits to being the first to hit on James, but I think James was interested in Aimee long before she was interested in him. 🙂 One date turned into two, then three, and finally they were married with a baby coming soon!

After the ceremony, we stayed at Washington Oaks for portraits because it’s a magical location to photograph with so many gorgeous options. It does not get any better than those giant oak trees! Except for maybe the rock jetty at the beach. We created some stupid amazing photos of  Aimee, James and their bridal party before heading to their wedding reception at The Carriage House in St Augustine. Where the groom had a custom gun cake waiting for him!

The reception was so much fun and it’s so awesome to witness such love among both families.

Aimee and James had an amazing day, and I can’t wait to meet their sweet little baby soon! Thank you both for choosing me to be your wedding photographer! Wishing you a lifetime of love and laughter 🙂
