Kasey and Kevin had their Amelia Island Wedding on what as quite possibly the worst day of weather Florida had seen in a month. As we sat in the bridal suite while Kasey had her hair and makeup done we alternatelyΒ wondered how Kevin was holding up and watched as two men struggled against the wind to erect a beach arbor. Honestly, we weren’t sure it was going to make it. But it did and we were all able to resume breathing and getting around for the intimate ceremony that was about to happen. After Kasey’s mom helped her slip into her dress she invited her grandmother in to see her and take one of the sweetest photos I’ve captured on a wedding day.

Before we knew it, it was time to say “I Do.” I’m telling you, family members of this bride and groom were troopers. By the time the ceremony rolled around the wind had picked back up and freezing was an understatement. But everyone made it through and even stuck around for a big group picture after. Total rockstars! Although the real trooper may have been Kevin. Who would have been happy to just take one single picture with his bride but stuck it out with me through groom portraits and group portraits and “just one more” photo of the two newlyweds. It may have been windy, and a little rainy, and definitely chilly but it was still an absolutely gorgeous day.

The Amelia Island Wedding Ceremony was great, but now it’s time to Partaaay!Β  The following evening there was the wedding reception at The Candy Apple Cafe & CocktailsΒ andΒ Sweet Pete’s CandyΒ  with all of their family and friends. It was such a fun place to have a reception and definitely fitting for such a sweet girl. Believe me when I say, that girl won’t quit! She kept the dance floor hopping ALL night long (reminds me of someone I know….;) ). I literally don’t think Kasey sat down the entire night. We even managed to drag Kevin out onto the floor (or around the edge) once or twice :). All in all, the weekend was perfect.

Congratulations Kasey and Kevin! Thank you for trusting me to document your special day! I adore you SO much!!!
