I was originally supposed to photograph Brittany and Shawn on the very day hurricane Irma decided to make her appearance in Jacksonville. While I’ve done many crazy things with my clients, photographing them in the middle of a hurricane is a line that even I won’t cross. Naturally, we postponed their anniversary photos until the weather cleared up . I have to say, it’s not often I get hired for anniversary photos but it’s definitely something I would love to book more of in the future. Especially after photographing Brittany and Shawn’s amazing session.

We met up at Washington Oaks along the A1A in the Palm Coast on a gorgeous day for the photos. The location made for a stunning backdrop to capture their anniversary. It doesn’t hurt that they’re such a beautiful couple too! Brittany and Shawn also had a few special request during their photoshoot. First, we photographed them eating the anniversary tier of their wedding cake. By the way, how cute is that “One Year” topper? We also captured some of the traditional anniversary photos. But one of their special requests involved putting on their wedding attire and take more photos in dress and tux. Umm, YES. Can we do this all of the time? This should be a new photography trend. I mean, look how stunning they looked!

We wound up on the beach in the rocks and I captured some of my favorite images ever. All of the photos of them together standing on the rocks look like they belong in bridal magazines. It was like I was photographing models I swear! Don’t even get me started on the sunset photos, absolutely some of my favorites. They reminded of an advertisement for destination weddings in Florida.
