Rubia contacted me because it was her birthday, and she wanted a glamorous photography session. She had originally wanted to do this for her 30th birthday but things happen, and she didn’t get around to doing it. Recently, she found me on Instagram through one of my senior photos and started following me. She said there was one picture that just drew her in. She knew that was the “look” she was going for, and she knew I was the photographer to do it! Boy, am I so thankful she found me! You guys, stories like these are such an honor for me to hear. More than anything, I want my work to make people feel and react to what they’re seeing. There is no greater compliment! Needless to say, I was so, SO excited to work with Rubia on this session.

We met at one of my favorite sunrise locations, boneyard beach on Big Talbot Island in Jacksonville. Y’all she showed up ready to slay. I talked her into getting her makeup done by the amazing Makeup Boss Kaitlin at 9pm the night before (Yes, it stayed:) ) She brought a killer wardrobe, a ton of ideas and even an assistant, her husband! He was a great sport and even helped me hold my lighting. Can you even believe she is 37 years old? She is absolutely stunning, there’s no avoiding she has a ridiculous body.

Rubia is one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever photographed. Not just because she was so in shape but because she exuded this amazing confidence. She was proud of herself. Too often we as women can feel past our prime, or too old, or 5 (or 10, or 20, or whatever our number is) pounds too heavy to pull off a photoshoot like this. But I promise you, doing this for yourself is worth it. You’re worth it no matter your age or shape or size. Glamour photography is for everyone. I love to show off how beautiful all of my clients are! I mean, isn’t that my job? 😉
