I originally met Courtnei and Travis during their maternity and newborn session for their son Travis Jr. He was so precious and mom and dad absolutely slayed the session so I knew their wedding was going to be amazing. They absolutely did not disappoint. Their Ocala wedding took place at Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club on what was, quite possibly, the hottest day of the year – and that’s saying something for Florida. In addition to the heat, we battled the threat of rain all day. Despite the weather, the wedding was absolutely gorgeous and the venue was top notch. Easily, one of my favorite places I’ve ever photographed at. But there were so many beautiful pieces to the day, from the bride’s gown to elegant crystal centerpieces (made by her mom!!) and even the rooms where the bride and groom got ready.

Because of the threat of rain, the ceremony took place under the covered archways with the golf course as a beautiful backdrop. But nothing beats the moment when Courtnei and Travis first laid eyes on each other as she came down the aisle. They both began to cry and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house at that moment. I’m not sure which was a greater moment of happiness, the tears running down their faces as she walked down the aisle or the smiles on their faces when they walked back as husband and wife! Either way, it was so precious.

After the ceremony, we hopped on a golf cart and toured the club’s grounds for all of the best pictures backdrops. Even little Travis got in the on the portraits and stole the show with his big brown eyes.

When we arrived at the reception it was stunning. Courtnei had crystal and sparkle everywhere, in all the best ways. From chandelier centerpiece to a head table fit for royalty, it was amazing! Seriously, just look at that cake! Another emotional moment was the first dance … we ALL began to tear up again as the bride and groom moved from playful to emotional during their song. They made such a beautiful bride and groom on the dance floor, and then they broke it DOWN and got the party started. The guests had so much fun and I loved capturing every moment of it.
