Nikki’s session was a very unique opportunity for me! To say that pregnancy is one of the most special and unique times in a woman’s life would be an understatement. So, when Nikki came to me with very specific ideas on how she wanted her body photographed, I was really excited. At the beginning of her session, we chatted about the ideas and poses we would capture her belly in. Then we spent a few hours working on perfecting the shots and photographing her beautiful pregnant body in a way she loved. She was so gorgeous, just absolutely stunning. Not only was she beautiful and so comfortable with her body, but this pregnant mom-to-be was also down for anything.

The session was so fun because of her willingness to try new things! Since Nikki was so open to trying new things, I attempted milk bath shots for the first time. I have to say we totally nailed it. She is such an earthy type of mom, I think the milk bath photos fit her perfectly. The whole gallery turned out absolutely AMAZING. She totally nailed everything I asked her to do.

This session will go down as some of my favorite maternity pictures to date. They’re both soul baring and completely tasteful. I hope that all moms-to-be can see themselves in such a beautiful way. Pregnancy is a beautiful and fleeting time in a women’s life, it’s something we can repeat but never replicate. I love that I get to document what our bodies are capable of.

Nikki loves Hawaii and has plans to name him or her something related to Hawaiian culture. I can’t wait to hear the name she decides and to meet her tiny bundle of joy! Congratulations Nikki!
