It’s been a summer of weddings, engagements and senior sessions for my photography business. So I was so excited to get my baby fix in the studio this week with sweet baby Madison’s newborn photos. It’s always interesting when siblings come in for pictures with their new baby sister or brother because we really never know what we’re going to get. Sometimes the older siblings aren’t nearly as thrilled with the new arrival as their parents are. In this case, it was the opposite with Madison’s one-year-old brother Carter. He LOVED his baby sister and had no problem loving up on her. Although, he was way less interested in posing for the camera for me! But how cute is he kissing his new little sister? I think he’s going to make an excellent big brother.

Once sibling photos are out of the way I let mom and dad hang out on my couch with Carter while I took sweet Madison to the portrait room for a couple of hours. She might only be a week old but you would think she had been doing this her whole life. She let me put her in any pose I needed and did whatever I asked. I was able to get some gorgeous pictures of her sweet sleepy face, just look at those cheeks and oh my gosh those curls!

Some of my favorite photos for newborns are the tiny detail shots of small fingers and toes. It seems like it isn’t long before their mouth loses that tiny baby pout and before you know it their feet are bigger than yours. Thank you so much Shawntrell and Jeremy for letting me photograph miss Madison. I can’t wait to see her and her little Carter grow up.
