This year I’ve seen a huge influx of high school Seniors wanting to book their Senior Photos while on vacation here in Florida. Lanie is one of those seniors! She and her family were in Orlando, Florida for a volleyball tournament. Unfortunately, her team had to back out of the competition and they decided to make lemonade out of lemons. Lanie, her mom, and grandma decided it was a good time for senior photos and they loved the town of St. Augustine. Thankfully, Lanie and her family found me!

Like most people who fall in love with St. Augustine, Lanie fell in love with the charm of downtown. The Spanish influence of the architecture with it’s palm trees and gardens throughout the city win the hearts of almost everyone. So of course, downtown was a must on her senior picture wish list. Flagler College and the Lightner Museum are some of my favorite places to take clients because of the manicured grounds, gorgeous buildings and the fountain is so fun. I always provide the props during my senior photo shoots; Lanie really took a liking to my 2018 sign and had a lot of fun with it at the fountain….and IN the fountain…no, I didn’t tell her to do it, she asked, I just pressed the shutter! But, there was a cop nearby, and I thought….It’s about to go down…. but, he didn’t even stop. Boom, we got the pic! 🙂

Downtown St. Augustine is a great place for Senior portraits but the beach is also a must when you’re in town. Naturally, the pier is the ideal location for senior photos so we went there only to find a festival was happening on the beach with a million people present. So we jumped in the car and drove across the bridge to Vilano beach. There we discovered waves breaking along this gorgeous rocky area – and even better we had the beach almost to ourselves! The weather was gorgeous and we got some great beach photos that I absolutely love. Lanie was such a gorgeous, sweet girl and I think her senior pictures do her justice!
