Sabrina and Paul’s journey is a little different than most. Their story begins at home plate. Or most specifically, behind home plate. Where they met on the baseball field watching their sons play together. With three sons combined, their marriage was more than just the joining of husband and wife. Part of the reason the day was so emotional was because of the men in this family.
There were many moments throughout the day when dry eyes were nowhere to be found, including my own. When Sabrina’s son Colby got to see his mom in her wedding dress for the first time tears streamed down his face. He also became really emotional when it was time to dance with his mom during the reception at the White Room. But he wasn’t alone. When it came time for Paul to recite his vows to his bride, he also became pretty emotional. There’s something about a big burly man getting all choked up just speaking to his bride! There was so much love and joy present at this wedding it was hard not to become emotional myself. It took this family a long time to find each other but I think the joy they’ve found as a new family was worth the wait.
I am so thankful they found each other and I’m so grateful they chose me to document their day.
