I am so excited to share this Gorgeous Downtown Jacksonville Wedding! First of all, when I spoke to Shene a few months ago, she said she was having a small intimate ceremony. Great in theory! A few weeks before the wedding, Shene called me and said, “Well let’s just say it’s not a small intimate wedding anymore!”
Downtown Jacksonville Wedding Venue
When I walked into the ceremony/reception room at the Doubletree Riverfront in downtown Jacksonville I was shocked at how beautiful it was! Party Life ProductionsΒ not only planned the wedding, but added such gorgeous detail and decor! I went to see Shene in her bridal suite, and was blown away at how beautiful she already looked! Her makeup was so perfect thanks to Kaitlin with the Makeup BossΒ and her hair…. OMG… Jude with Creative Hands ArtistryΒ did something I appreciated. He not only rocked Shene’s hair, but he stayed with her throughout her day to make sure her hair was on point for the pictures! Seriously, as a photographer, I have mad respect and appreciation for him! π
The First Look
Shene and I decided early on that she and Roderick would do a first look to ensure we had great light. Plus, I feel like it gives the bride and groom time to themselves to appreciate each other on such a special day! Roderick rode with me to the stunning first look location nearby. HeΒ looked so handsome, and I was so excited for him to see his gorgeous bride. Even though the Doubletree isΒ an amazing downtown Jacksonville wedding location, I wanted to do the first look away from the river since I knew we’d be taking pictures there after the ceremony. Deep in San Marco on River St. there is a tree-lined park that I knew would be gorgeous. It didn’t disappoint, and their pictures prove it!
The Reception
The ceremony was gorgeous, and the reception…let’s just say that DJ Bernard with Southernlistic RadioΒ JAMMED OUT! I’m a sucker for good music, so I know there are some videos out there of me shakin it on the dance floor. Camera in hand and all! Hey, old-school 90’s booty music will get me every time! π Β Shene and Roderick, you have such a beautiful love and a beautiful family. I am so thankful you chose me as your wedding photographer! π
