With today being a day that we should all be thankful for our freedom. I thought this blog post would be perfect! I first met Lindsey and Kevin when he came home from a military tour about a year ago. First of all, how freakin’ adorable are they… seriously. Lindsey contacted me about a month ago, and said when asked what she wanted for her birthday, she asked for a family session with me! LOVED that idea! She asked if their dog child Marley could come, of course I said yes! We jumped in the car and headed towards Driftwood Beach.. on the way there, I said there was a spot I haven’t been to on the way and we should drive by and check it out… We ended up going by the Ribault Club …. ummm I am ready and willing to do ANY and ALL weddings there because it was GORGEOUS! Anywho, we ended up stopping on the road driving by the club to get some great shots. That’s when I found out that Marley’s treats are carrots. Not carrot-flavored dog treats, but straight up baby carrots. Funny, yet amazing. We took a few pics there (where I ended up being attacked by a huge spider web and almost died with the 5 inch spider that was on it. I might be exaggerating a little 😉 We then headed to the gorgeous driftwood beach. I just love shooting there. Especially when I remember my bug spray 🙂 We went all over the beach, and Marley had a blast jumping the trees and attempting to harass the wildlife. It was so awesome. Lindsey and Kevin are so in love and so happy. They are both so kind and genuine, and I am so thankful to be their chosen photographer and friend. Regarding Marley, she eventually became my BFF since I held the carrots. I also ate them, but that comes with the territory. 🙂
Thank you Lindsey and Kevin for choosing me as your favorite photographer. I will see you soon! And thank you both for your sacrifice and service!
