I was so glad that Shinetta contacted me needing an engagement photographer. After talking about the style of her session, I asked her if she also needed a wedding photographer… Her response, “well, we’re getting married in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic”…. my response was, Β “I’m IN!” Shinetta had a great response. Β She said, “Let’s do the engagement shoot first and make sure we’reΒ a good fit.” Β I couldn’t agree more. Many couples only focus on the style of photography, which I agree is VERY important, but ensuring that you mesh with your photographer’s personality is just as important! Β Even talking to Shi on the phone before the shoot, I knew we’d get along….and of course they show up and are gorgeous! Let’s just say Jaron wasn’t too excited about the shoot… π game on. Β It took me about 15 minutes to get him loosened up and laughing. We used the gorgeous Jacksonville downtown skyline. As we were walking toward Friendship Fountain, we heard a violin being played. Turns out a random professional violinist was wandering around playing and shooting a video. We were all like,Β Β “Come take pictures with us!” Of course I used the opportunity to act like I planned it, and that it was part of my “platinum package” and to expect an increase to their bill. π Β It was just another perfect addition to this perfect shoot. About halfway through the shoot I looked at them both and said, “OK, I agree to be your destination wedding photographer”. Β Shi said, “YAY!” … perfect reaction π
I’m honored to be the chosen photographer for Shinetta and Jaron, and I cannot wait to join them at the Hard RockΒ Punta Cana in September ….Maybe I’ll bring the violinist… π
See you soon Shi and Jaron! π Thanks again for choosing me!
